Artists in Real Time
Is a Greater Hartford Area non-profit
group of artists and community members devoted to the promotion and
integration
of art and art events
in everyone's everyday lives.
Traditionally organized and promoted by a commitee of participation artists, the Open Studio Weekend events have grown over the past 17 years from small happenings to major events which draw thousands to the city to view and purchase original works by some of the finest artistic talent in the Northeast. In 2003, participating artist decided to formalize the organization of their grassroots volunteer group by electing a representative Board of Directors, and working to meet the requirments to qualify for not-for-profit organizatin status. The name selected is Artists in Real Time.
